The Birmingham Legion FC will host FC Tulsa on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th @ 7:00pm in Protective Stadium presented by Miller Lite. Join us for $3 Green Beer starting at 6:00pm in the South Terrace.
Last Saturday, the 11th, Legion FC kicked off its season with a 1 – 1 draw at home versus the pesky Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The Legion will look to build upon an up-and-down attacking performance last week this Friday night. The return of Team MVP Enzo Martinez should help, as newcomers Neco Brett, Tyler Pasher, Diba Nwegbo, and others get back to full health and up to full speed as the season moves forward.
In Tulsa’s first match of the season the final ended just like Birmingham’s as Tulsa drew Miami, 1-1 in South Beach. They now hit the road for the second time this Friday looking for the team’s first win of the new season. Rookie Milo Yousef, a collegiate teammate of Legion’s Gabriel Alves at Marshall University (Go Herd!), scored Tulsa’s goal. The team’s leading goal scorers in 2022, Rodrigo da Costa and Dario Suarez, will look to get off the mark and secure their first win of 2023 while in the Magic City.
