April 16, 2021 (CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — Charlotte Independence announced today the signing of midfielder Noah Paravicini for the 2021 season, pending league and federation approval.
“I’m super excited to sign with the Independence,” said Paravicini. “Since I have been out here, I have loved the environment, loved the training, loved the coaches, players and city. I am really excited to sign for the season and can’t wait to see what we can do this year.”
Paravicini, 24, joins the Independence following a successful 2020 USL Championship season with Hartford Athletic.
Prior to making the move to the USL Championship, Paravicini spent the 2019 season with Napa Valley 1839 FC of the NPSL.
“Noah came in with us on trial and just showed really well throughout the trainings,” said Charlotte Independence General Manager and Head Coach Mike Jeffries. “He is a guy that can play multiple roles for us in the midfield. A really good technical passer, strong in the air and in tackles, Noah will be a player that competes for a spot in our midfield.”
Paravicini played collegiately at Dartmouth College from 2015-18, notching 48 starts and 67 appearances. With Dartmouth, he earned Second Team All-Ivy League honors in his Junior season in 2017. During his Senior year in 2018, Paravicini led the team in assists despite only playing in twelve matches.
Originally from Petaluma, Calif., he won five NorCal Premier League Championship Cups with Marin FC 97 Blue, a club team.
“It’s always exciting to be a part of history,” added Paravicini. “I’m hoping that playing at American Legion Memorial Stadium this season will give the local fans of Charlotte that want to watch the opportunity to, and we are all just pumped to play for the city of Charlotte.”
Paravicini joins Jake Areman, Brandt Bronico (on loan from Charlotte FC), Clay Dimick, Shalom Dutey, Junior Etou, Joel Johnson, Enzo Martinez, Tresor Mbuyu, Brandon Miller, Austin Pack, Marcelo Palomino (on loan from Houston Dynamo FC), Hugh Roberts, Kevin Riascos, Valentin Sabella (currently loaned to Cancun FC), and Thomas de Villardi on the list of players confirmed for the 2021 season, as the club continues to negotiate with additional players.
