CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 5th, 2021) – This Friday afternoon, the Red Wolves announced Sebastian Capozucchi as their 19th addition to the 2021 squad pending league and federation approval.
Born in Chile, the 25 year old has American and italian citizenship. In Capozucchi’s eyes, soccer runs in his blood having been born to a Chilean mother and Argentine father, who was a professional soccer player. Capozucchi lived in Argentina, Chile and Guatemala all before the age of nine. After which, Sebastian moved to New Jersey where he spent the rest of his childhood.
While Sebastian’s career has taken him all over the world and to many clubs, his fondest stop was in Italy. During his first year there he played for Paterno Calcio where he and the backline led the team to allow the 2nd fewest goals in the league. He was then signed by Marina Di Ragusa. Sebastian and the team then went on to put on the best performances in recent history of the club, winning the league title in the final game of the season that year.
For Sebastian coming to Chattanooga is the perfect next step in his career. “I saw the ambition of the coaching staff and club for 2021 and knew I had to be a part of it,” said Capozucchi. “I’m very excited to represent the city of Chattanooga, I can’t wait to get started and give the fans my very best inside and outside the pitch.”

Head Coach Jimmy Obleda sees Sebastian’s mentality and approach to the game fitting right in with the culture at Chattanooga. “Sebastian is a proven winner,” said Obleda. “Everywhere he has played he has won. That is not by coincidence. His desire to win and never believe a game is over is what our culture is about and he depicts it. Add to that his ability as an excellent back, we have a person who will be instrumental in our success this season.”
Capozucchi is the 19th addition to the Red Wolves 2021 Roster. Sebastian joins newcomers Juan Galindrez, Rafa Mentzingen, Josue Espana, Jose Carrera Garcia, Jimmie Villalobos, Jackson Dieterich, Jonathan Esparza, Jorge Luna, Daniel Navarro, Sebastian Mora-Mora and returners Ualefi Dos Reis, Ami Pineda, Ronaldo Pineda, Marky Hernandez, Ricky Ruiz, Jonathan Ricketts, Jason Ramos and Tim Trilk. More player announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
