Sofia Cedeño (32) – Midfielder
Career Bio
Dallas Trinity FC brings home one of its youngest and most intriguing prospects with the loan signing of midfielder Sofía Cedeño, a 19-year-old Dallas native returning to her hometown for her first professional stint with the club.
Born in Panama City and raised in Dallas, Cedeño developed at Solar SC before earning 2024 ECNL All-American honors and a commitment to UCLA. She turned down the college path entirely, choosing to sign professionally with Seattle Reign FC at just 18 years old. After a brief first stint with Reign FC, she headed north to play in the inaugural season of Canada’s Northern Super League with Halifax Tides FC — a bold move that paid off when Reign FC re-signed her to a three-year contract in December 2025.
Cedeño has since earned her first U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team call-up, further cementing her place in the U.S. Soccer pipeline as one of the league’s brightest young talents.
Now on loan in search of consistent minutes, Cedeño brings her composure and hometown pride to Dallas Trinity FC, joining fellow Solar SC product Lexi Missimo as the club continues its push in the Gainbridge Super League.
