Midfielder Dominic Gasso is embarking on his fourth season within Detroit City FC. The Detroit City FC U19 Academy team graduate spent the early part of 2024 with Le Rouge, but after only 58 minutes of playtime across seven games, Gasso went out on loan to MLS Next Pro side Huntsville City FC, where he would play in the final ten matches of the season, starting in six. Gasso would pick up an assist in a 3-2 victory over Toronto FC II in late August.
2023 saw Gasso play in 18 matches in the USL Championship. Gasso would only score one goal in his 975 minutes played, but the goal is one of the most important in DCFC history. In the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals match on the road at Players Shield winners Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, Gasso would find the back of the net in the 79th minute, and that would be the only goal in the game, seeing Detroit City win their first-ever USL Championship playoff match.
Gasso signed his first professional contract on July 4, 2022, and made two appearances for Le Rouge during the season, making his debut away against Charleston Battery on August 27. The Grand Blanc native played for Vardar Academy and the Flint City Bucks Academy before joining the Detroit City FC U19 Boys Academy team in 2022.
