Defender Luca Mastrantonio earns USL League One Team of the Week honors for week nine after his impressive performance on Saturday in FC Tucson’s 1-0 win on the road over South Georgia Tormenta SC.
Mastrantonio was a key component on defense with nine clearances, seven recoveries, five interceptions and a pair of blocked shots as the club earned its first shutout of the season. He also had a 86% passing accuracy, won all three duels and all three aerial duels attempted.
FC Tucson continues its two-game road trip as it travels to Wisconsin to play Forward Madison FC on Saturday. Brother John’s Beer, Bourbon & BBQ will host its second consecutive watch party for fans.
