Tulsa Roughnecks Sign Akeil Barrett
Tulsa, OK– Tulsa Roughnecks FC has signed 26-year-old Forward Akeil Barrett.
“I am very happy for the opportunity to play in my second home from Jamaica,” said Barrett, “and I am very glad to defend this city! this place means a lot to me.”
Barrett, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, played college soccer at both the University of Akron and the University of Tulsa. While playing college soccer he also played for the NPSL club, Tulsa Athletics. From there he was selected 25thoverall in the MLS SuperDraft by Orlando City SC before singing with the Jacksonville Armada. Barrett has also played for Piteå IF, Swope Park Rangers, and the Ocean City Nor’easters.
“Akeil, is a player I know very well from The University of Tulsa.
