Fort Wayne FC, two-time defending division champion, remains in Valley Division for 2025

Fort Wayne FC will remain in the Valley Division of the Central Conference, USL League Two announced today, though the membership of the division has changed for the 2025 season.
While the Valley Division will continue to have six teams, it now includes Kings Hammer FC Columbus, Lexington SC and West Virginia United. They join three returning teams, the Dayton Dutch Lions, Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati and Fort Wayne FC.
Gone from the Valley Division are Toledo Villa FC, Buffalo FC and the Cleveland Force.
“It is exciting to learn who our opponents will be for the upcoming USL2 season,” Fort Wayne FC coach Mike Avery said. “The Valley Division has been one of the most challenging divisions over the past few years and even with the changes announced, I anticipate it will stay as one of the more difficult divisions in USL2.”
Fort Wayne FC is the two-time defending champion of the Valley Division and coming off an 8-2-2 regular season. Fort Wayne FC, which began play in 2021, won its first ever playoff game last season, 1-0 over Midwest United FC in a game that went to penalty kicks with Fort Wayne outscoring the opposition 5-4. In the Central Conference semifinals, Fort Wayne FC lost 2-1 to the Flint City Bucks.
“We will have to be at our very best to win a third division title in a row,” Avery said, “and we are working very hard right now to assemble a roster capable of meeting that challenge head on.”
The schedule for Fort Wayne FC’s 2025 season will be announced later this month. The team will play at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium, on the campus of the University of Saint Francis, for a third straight year while construction begins on a new state-of-the-art stadium at Bass Road and I-69 that will open in 2026.
