MADISON, WI. (April 30, 2022) – Central Valley Fuego FC (2-1-1, 3rd) played one last away match before their home opener in Madison, Wisconsin against Forward Madison FC (0-1-3, 10th). The first 45 minutes proved to be a challenge with continuous rain and wind. It was a back and forth half with no shots on target for both teams. Fuego FC started the second half with newly signed Jesus Partida in place of Anthony Velarde. Nine minutes into the second half, Villyan Bijev added pressure to Madison goalkeeper Philip Breno creating an opportunity for Partida to strike the ball from approximately 40 yards out of the box and send it into the back of the net. Madison had good possession in the second half, but were unable to get the equalizer.
UP NEXT: Central Valley Fuego FC hosts their inaugural Home Opener at Fresno State Soccer Stadium against Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 PM PST.
