FRESNO, Calif. – USL League One named defender Nathan Smith, as a player for Team of the Week in Week 5 for the 2022 regular season.
On Saturday, April 30 Central Valley Fuego FC beat Forward Madison FC in a shoutout match 1-0. Smith contributed to the team’s win with six recoveries, three clearances and two interceptions.
“Credit to Martín and the coaching staff for preparing us and giving us a game plan to execute,” said Smith. “It was a team effort and I’m just happy we came away with three points and a clean sheet as we look to build on it for our next game.”
