Six standout players from across the collegiate landscape join the Liberty ahead of the 2025 season
Greenville, SC- (April 11th, 2025) The Liberty are proud to welcome five new additions for the 2025 season: Anna Hussey (UT Chattanooga), Natalie Jones and Sydnee Garner (UT Tyler), Morgan DeLair (Catawba), Anna Young (University of South Carolina), and Ella Moss (Loyola Maryland). This group brings a strong mix of collegiate experience, and academic excellence—adding depth as the Liberty gear up for the new campaign.
FORWARDS
Natalie Jones (Kansas City, KS)
We’re thrilled to welcome Natalie Jones to the Liberty for the 2025 season! A senior standout from the University of Texas at Tyler, Jones brings both consistency and firepower to the pitch. In 2023, she started all 17 matches, logging an impressive 1,284 minutes. She followed that up with a stellar 2024 campaign, starting all 27 games, scoring seven goals, and adding six assists for a total of 20 points while playing 1,135 minutes. Jones earned All-LSC Second Team honors after leading UT Tyler in goals (7), assists (6), and points (20), ranking top six in the conference in all three categories. Her five game-winners led the Lone Star Conference, and she was also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for her combined success on the field and in the classroom. She continued to shine on the regional stage, earning spots on both the D2CCA All-South Central Region Second Team and the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region, joining an elite group of athletes across the Lone Star Conference.
MIDFIELDERS
Anna Young (Gaithersburg, MD)
Anna Young, a proven SEC midfielder with four years of collegiate experience, to join the Liberty for the 2025 season. Currently a graduate student at the University of South Carolina, Young did not see action in the 2024 season due to injury but brings a strong foundation of leadership, resilience, and on-field intelligence. As a senior in 2023, she started all 19 matches, led all field players with 1,659 minutes, and recorded her first career assist against Tennessee. She was named to the SEC Preseason Watchlist, served as team captain, and earned both CSC Academic All-District and SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll honors. In 2022, she appeared in all 18 matches with 16 starts, logging 1,341 minutes and making her first career start in a win over Purdue. As a sophomore, she played in 13 matches, and made her collegiate debut in 2020.
Sydnee Garner (Midlothian, TX)
Sydnee Garner, a graduate student from UT Tyler, is joining the Liberty for the 2025 season! Garner brings experience and versatility to the squad after a strong collegiate career with the Patriots. In 2022, she earned United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region Second Team, All-Lone Star Conference Second Team, and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. That season, she started 16 of 17 games, tallying four goals and three assists, including a game-winner against Rogers State. She also earned D2CCA All-South Central Region Second Team recognition for her standout performance. As a freshman in 2021, Garner made an immediate impact, playing in all 15 games with 14 starts, scoring her first collegiate goal against Texas A&M International.
Morgan DeLair (Kannapolis, N.C.)
Morgan DeLair joins the Liberty for the 2025 season! The dynamic midfielder joins us from Catawba College, where she steadily developed into a key contributor over her three-year career. As a freshman in 2022, DeLair appeared in 13 matches, notching her first collegiate goal and two assists. She continued to grow in 2023, playing in all 23 games and tallying three goals and two assists for eight points. In her most recent season, she started 18 of 19 games, adding two goals and a career-high four assists, finishing with another strong eight-point campaign. With consistent production, increasing minutes, and a strong presence on the field, DeLair brings skill and energy to the Liberty’s midfield lineup heading into 2025!
Ella Moss (Delray Beach, FL)
We’re excited to welcome Ella Moss to the Liberty for the 2025 season! A midfielder from Loyola University of Maryland, Moss is a promising young talent with a strong foundation both on and off the pitch. After missing her freshman season in 2023 due to injury, Moss returned in 2024 to appear in 13 matches, contributing 317 minutes of solid play. In the classroom, Moss has excelled as well, earning academic recognition with a GPA of 3.2 or higher during the fall semester. Before college, she started at American Heritage School, where she earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and helped her team reach the state finals. She also captained Florida United for four years and led the team to a 2023 GA Champions Cup National Championship.
Anna Hussey (Myrtle Beach, S.C.)
Anna Hussey joins the Liberty for the 2025 season! A freshman midfielder from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Hussey brings a strong winning pedigree and attacking flair to the squad. During her standout high school career, she was a three-time First Team All-Region selection, named All-State in 2022, and earned multiple team honors including Offensive Player of the Year, Team MVP, and the Seahawk Award. Hussey helped lead her team to three AAAA Region six titles and a third-place finish in the South Carolina state playoffs.
