To commemorate Women’s History Month this March, The Greenville Triumph & Liberty is proud to spotlight the remarkable contributions of women within our community. The Club is dedicated to sharing the stories of inspiring women, with a focus on celebrating and showcasing their impactful roles in shaping the rich history of our organization.
Rachel Gordon
Triumph Athletic Trainer
I work with the team daily, helping the players recover from injuries and return them to the field as quickly and safely as possible. I also provide on-field coverage during training and games in case of any emergency.
I can’t narrow it down to a specific moment, but one of the best parts of my job is getting an athlete back on the field after they have been out for a long time.
My mom. She has always pushed me to set big goals and not give up until I reach them.

Alex Vinson
Liberty Athletic Trainer
I provide Greenville Liberty players with injury prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and rehab programs, and cover practices and games to keep everyone safe. I am also the (self-proclaimed) players’ full-time cheerleader.
Being a woman in sports allows me to bring a different flair and perspective to the field, and I hope to encourage and inspire young girls to go against the grain in this industry to pursue their dreams. We’ve come a long way in breaking stigmas of sports being predominantly reported on, coached by, and medically cared for by men. To contribute to the path being created for women to work alongside men is a massive privilege.
The relationships I get to build with each of my athletes and the thank you messages I’ve gotten from them during and after seasons are the most memorable parts of my job.
The women in athletic training before me who have created and grown our presence in the sports world.
