Letayf Escutia joins Hearts after a 2-week trail period with the club.
Originally from Monterrey, Letayf Escutia moved to Texas at age eight and developed through the FC Dallas academy. He featured for FC Dallas’s U-17s at the Liga MX Internacional Tournament in 2017, and represented Mexico on five occasions as part of the Youth National Team. He then moved to Tigres UANL’s U-20 squad before attending Georgetown University, where he made 42 appearances with 32 starts. Letayf Escutia served as captain for three consecutive years, and in 2024, he helped the Hoyas win 2 BIG EAST Championships, as well as three league titles, reaching the NCAA Division I Soccer Championship all four years of Diego’s career.
