Katie Soderstrom is no stranger to playing soccer in the Hoosier State. The native of Carmel and standout on the Butler University soccer team will provide ample offense for Indy Eleven. In five seasons with the Bulldogs, Soderstrom has compiled 98 points on 34 goals and 30 assists across 91 appearances. She is one of the most decorated players in Butler history, ranking fourth all-time in points, tied for fourth all-time in goals, and second all-time in assists. Some of her many accolades include 3x All-BIG EAST First Team (2019, 2020, 2021), 2x United Soccer Coaches All-Region 1st Team (2020, 2021), and seven-time BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.
In high school, Soderstrom excelled for the local Carmel Greyhounds, posting records such as the most hat-tricks in one season, the most consecutive hat-tricks in one season, the most assists in a single game and finished with the fifth most points in school history.
Katie is the sister of teammate Susie Soderstrom, who is in her first season with the club.
