Indy Eleven Professional Soccer announces the signing of midfielder Matt Watson to its 2018 roster pending federation approval. Watson joins the “Boys in Blue” after spending 2017 with Phoenix Rising FC in the United Soccer League’s Western Conference.

“Watson is a dynamic, box-to-box midfielder,” Indy Eleven head coach Martin Rennie said. “He’ll bring great leadership and experience to our team.”

A product of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County Retrievers, Watson has spent the last 12 years playing in top clubs within the USL, North American Soccer League and Major League Soccer. In 2017, Watson featured in 31 out of 32 regular season matches for Phoenix Rising FC. During that time, the English-born midfielder completed over 80 percent of his passes, made 64 interceptions and scored one goal. Previously, Watson has appeared in squads managed by Coach Rennie during stints at MLS’ Vancouver Whitecaps FC and NASL’s Carolina RailHawks (North Carolina FC).

“I’m pleased to let Indy Eleven fans know that we’ve added high quality players in Ayoze and Starikov,” Indy Eleven Head Coach Martin Rennie said. “Their winning track record and great composure in championship matches adds great depth to our team.”

Indy Eleven Professional Soccer announces the signing of Karl Ouimette and Jordan Farr to its 2018 roster, pending league and federation approval.

“Karl is a powerful and fast defender,” said Coach Martin Rennie. “But he’s also versatile, which is why I’m looking forward to trying him in multiple positions.”

"I’m excited to join Indy Eleven for the 2018 season. It’s a club that is very professional and has great ambitions,” said Ouimette. “The fans there are dedicated and will support us all year. I can't wait to start working with our experienced coaching staff to set the foundations for a successful season."

Ouimette excelled as a staunch defender at San Francisco Deltas last season appearing in 23 matches contributing on 10 shutouts. He won 78% tackles, 59% ground duels and 66% aerial duels. Ouimette also has extensive experience at the MLS and international levels. A starter along the backline in 10 of his 18 appearances for the Canada National Team, he also represented his country at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Farr was a standout goalkeeper for the record-setting 2016 Warrior team that advanced to the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16 for the first time in program history. He ranks number two all-time in the NAIA with 44 career shutouts, tallying nine during his senior campaign and owns a career goals-against-average of 0.74.

“I’m excited to see what Jordan will accomplish with Indy Eleven,” said Coach Rennie. “He’s a top goalkeeper in the NAIA and I would rate his experience just as high as any.”

"Being a professional soccer player has been my dream since I was able to walk,” said Farr. “To be playing in front of the Brickyard Battalion at Lucas Oil Stadium will be an absolute privilege and an honor. I was able to meet Martin Rennie when he spoke at my University, and I couldn't think of a better coach to play for and learn from. I am humbled and extremely grateful to play for Indy Eleven and represent the city of Indianapolis."

Indy Eleven Professional Soccer announces the signing of Goalkeeper Owain Fôn Williams to its 2018 roster pending league and federation approval.
 
“Owain has played more than 400 games as a professional and has tournament experience at an elite-level,” said Coach Martin Rennie. “He will bring great leadership to our group and we are very excited to have him.”
 
“I would like to thank Coach Martin Rennie for giving me the opportunity to wear the Indy Eleven shirt for this coming season,” said Williams. “I’m very excited to get between the posts in our new home, the incredible Lucas Oil Stadium with the Boys in Blue. I’ve heard so much about the Brickyard Battalion, and I can’t wait to play in front of all of our supporters. This season is ours!”
 
Williams will be joining the team on loan for the 2018 season from Scottish Championship club Inverness Caledonian Thistle whom he joined in 2015. He made 71 appearances for Inverness including starting in the club’s first ever Europa League match in 2015.  He was also a member of the Wales squad that reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016. Before making the move to Scotland, the Welsh keeper made 271 appearances for four different clubs throughout the English Football League.

Indy Eleven Professional Soccer announces the signing of Goalkeeper Owain Fôn Williams to its 2018 roster pending league and federation approval.
 
“Owain has played more than 400 games as a professional and has tournament experience at an elite-level,” said Coach Martin Rennie. “He will bring great leadership to our group and we are very excited to have him.”

Indy Eleven Professional Soccer announces the signing of Zach Steinberger to its 2018 roster pending league and federation approval. Steinberger is a 2014 Butler graduate and scored his two first professional goals while on loan to Indy Eleven against Jacksonville Armada FC in 2015.
 
“Zach Steinberger will be a huge asset to the 2018 team,” said Coach Martin Rennie. “His professional career really began in Indianapolis and I can’t wait to see what he brings to the team with his reputation as a dangerous goal-scoring player.”
 
“I felt very fortunate to play in front of my college hometown fans and in front of the best fan-base in North American soccer when I came here on loan,” said Steinberger. “It’s amazing now to see where the club is today. It’s a testament to what the club is doing right. I hope to mimic Indy Eleven’s progress as an organization with my progress on the field.”
 
As a Butler Bulldog, Steinberger was named to the 2013 All-Big East First Team. He made his professional debut with the Houston Dynamo FC after being selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft in 2015. Steinberger signed full-time with Jacksonville Armada FC in 2017 after a half-season loan in 2016. He contributed 12 goals in 52 appearances with the NASL team.

“I’m very happy to be in Indianapolis and excited about the project that Coach Rennie and Ersal (Ozdemir) are building here, and I believe in it,” said Guerra. “I also can’t wait to play in front of this amazing crowd of Indy Eleven supporters in the best stadium in the USL.”
 
Guerra martialed the New York Cosmos midfield in 2017, scoring five goals and one assist in 27 starts.  He played collegiately for Florida International University and has since gained experience with Venezuelan clubs Monagas SC and Caracas FC, the most successful club in Venezuelan history. The midfielder has four caps with the Venezuelan national team, including two call-ups for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
