A week after shifting to a 3-5-2 formation, Louisville City FC looks back to its more familiar 4-3-3 on Saturday while featuring changes up top.
Coach Danny Cruz will send out a front three of — from left — Enoch Mushagalusa, Wilson Harris and Ray Serrano for LouCity’s 10:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Phoenix Rising FC.
Mushagalusa and Serrano came on as halftime subs in last weekend’s Memphis loss, connecting for two quick scoring chances. Harris subbed in at the 70-minute mark and within seconds scored City’s lone goal.
The trio combined to try seven shots, numbering four of their side’s five attempts on target for the game. Cruz will hope for the same sort of production with a bit more finishing touch at Phoenix Rising Soccer Stadium.
Rasmus Thellufsen and Tyler Gibson return to the midfield along with Elijah Wynder, who saw time at center back in the aforementioned 3-5-2 before shifting into his more natural role for last week’s second half.
It’s a familiar back four with Amadou Dia, Wes Charpie, Sean Totsch and Cruz’s fourth change — Oscar Jimenez — from left to right. Breakout rookie Oliver Semmle returns in goal.
LouCity at Phoenix Rising will air locally on MyTV 58 and ESPN 680/105.7. USL Championship games also stream via ESPN+.
