The stage is set for Louisville City FC’s biggest home game of the season, and coach Danny Cruz has called for just one change as the boys in purple host the Charleston Battery for an 8 p.m. kickoff at Lynn Family Stadium.
Amadou Dia slots in at wingback for Jake Morris as first-place LouCity matches up with second-place Charleston on “Fill the Fam” night. Just one point separates the clubs atop the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference standings, though with two games in hand this would be a pivotal victory for City.
Aside from Dia, it’s the same lineup that last weekend secured a rollercoaster victory over Sacramento Republic FC to mark Louisville’s fourth straight win.
Damian Las remains in goal behind a defensive line of Kyle Adams, Arturo Ordóñez and Sean Totsch.
Aiden McFadden will man the right flank opposite of Dia with Taylor Davila and Elijah Wynder making up LouCity’s regular midfield pairing.
The front three features Ray Serrano, Wilson Harris and Jansen Wilson.
Forward Phillip Goodrum, who this week completed a high-profile transfer from FC Tulsa, is available off the bench.
LouCity-Charleston will air locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7 with national streaming coverage on ESPN+.
