In their last match, Loudoun United lost 1-0 to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on July 17. The lone goal in the match came in the 6thminute when Russell Cicerone finished with a first-time shot from in-close. Loudoun goalkeeper Jermaine Fordah made seven saves on the night, including in the 79thminute when he made a quick-reaction save to deny a well-hit shot by a Pittsburgh attacker. The Red-and-White put pressure on the Pittsburgh defense all night and nearly found the match-tying goal on two separate occasions in the second half.
