In their last outing, Loudoun United defeated Flower City Union 5-0. United claimed their third clean sheet in the row and saw four different players on the scoresheet.
Forward Tommy Williamson recorded his first brace for Loudoun United FC, giving the Red-and-White an early 2-0 lead in the first half. Forward Zach Ryan added to his goal tally, scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Ryan has recorded at least one goal in every match he has appeared in this season for LUFC (seven goals in all competitions). In addition, Abdoul Zanne and Kalil ElMedkhar recorded a goal apiece.
Panos Armenakas and Houssou Landry earned USL Championship Team of the Week honors following their performance in a 2-0 win over Oakland Roots SC on Sunday, April 23. Armenakas recorded his first goal of the season, notching two shots and two chances created. Landry continues to be a powerhouse in the midfield this season, completing 42 of 57 passes and winning 9 of 11 total duels and 5 of 5 tackles.

Phoenix Rising FC turn their attention to the USL Championship following an Open Cup exit, falling 1-2 to New Mexico on Wednesday, April 26. Rising currently sit in 8th place in the Western Conference Standings with a record of 1-1-4. Phoenix has yet to win a match at home, drawing their last two at Phoenix Rising Stadium.
On Wednesday, Phoenix were forced to play a man down for the entirety of the second half, following Baboucarr Njie’s red card ejection. Carlos Harvey found the equalizer for Rising in the 77th minute, following a rebound off a freekick.
Phoenix Rising found two players on the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 7 with goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo and defender Kevon Lambert earning a spot on the squad following their performance in a 1-1 draw against San Antonio FC on Saturday, April 22.
Phoenix will be without midfielder Carlos Harvey after he was sent off for two cautionable offenses in San Antonio.

This will be United’s first time traveling to Phoenix, Arizona to take on Rising FC at Phoenix Rising Soccer Stadium. Loudoun are undefeated against Phoenix Rising; winning their only meeting 4-3 at Segra Field on June 18, 2022.
