
Leesburg, VA (June 10, 2023) – Jack Stefanowski joins Loudoun United FC as Goalkeeper Coach following stints as former Head Coach of the Nepal National Team and Assistant Coach of NWSL’s Washington Spirit.
“Jack [Stefanowski] is a tremendous coach and person,” Head Coach Ryan Martin said. “He has had great experience at the international level. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and we couldn’t be happier to add him to the technical staff.”
In 2018, Stefanowski held the role of Director of Goalkeeping for D.C. United Academy and Assistant Coach for Washington Spirit. He then worked with Head Coach Ryan Martin at Loudoun United in the Red-and-White’s inaugural 2019 season.
Stefanowski brings 22 years of coaching experience, highlighted by tenures as interim head coach of the Puerto Rico and Nepal Men’s National Teams. Stefanowski helped Puerto Rico rise 46 places in the FIFA world rankings from 158 to 112 while serving as interim coach in 2016. He also led Nepal to its first victory over India in 28 years, while climbing 15 spots in the rankings during his tenure from 2013-2015.
Stefanowski has worked as a member of The St. James FC Virginia technical staff since July of 2020. He still works as the Director of Innovation and Development at Pro FutBol Genius.
A Polish-American dual citizen, Stefanowski is also UEFA and USSF “A” License certified, and served on a Puerto Rico Islanders FC technical staff that directed the club to four league titles. He has five years of coaching experience in the CONCACAF Champions League, highlighted by a run to the semifinals and a victory over the LA Galaxy.
Stefanowski started his coaching career at St. Peter’s College after graduating from New York University with a BaS in Physical Therapy. He also speaks fluent Spanish and Polish.
