
Miami, Fla. (August 11, 2021) – The Miami Football Club lost to FC Tulsa 2-1 on Wednesday night. The defeat snapped Miami’s four-game undefeated streak.
The Orange and Blue remain in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. However, Tulsa is now six points away from MFC.

Head coach Anthony Pulis deployed the same exact starting lineup used against New Mexico United over the weekend.
Miami FC 1-2 FC Tulsa: Match Breakdown
The game was uneventful until captain Paco Craig pulled Miami FC ahead in the 25th minute. Winger Joaquín Rivas sent an out-swinging cross from a free-kick to the second post. There, Craig met the ball with his head and powered it through goalkeeper Austin Wormell and into the goal.
Unfortunately for Miami, the lead was short-lived. Former MFC forward Darío Suárez equalized less than two minutes after going down on the scoreboard. And by the 40th minute, Tulsa overtook Miami thanks to a goal from winger Noah Powder.
FC Tulsa sat back in the second half, securing its first three points on the road.
