Hamid signed with Miami ahead of the 2025 season. Hamid, a former MLS goalkeeper and U.S. National Team Member, is best known for his nine seasons with D.C. United. Hamid first signed with D.C. back in 2009, becoming the first academy player to sign a professional contract with the club. When he made his professional debut in 2010, he became the youngest ever MLS goalkeeper to win a game. For D.C. United, Hamid recorded 297 appearances across all competitions. One of his best seasons was the 2012 MLS campaign where the Virginia born goalkeeper had 88 saves. Throughout his time with D.C. United, Hamid recorded 95 clean sheets. On the international side, Hamid earned 8 senior caps for U.S. Men’s national team and played for the U18s and U20s before training with the senior team in 2009.
