Monterey Bay Takes to the Skies for Away Fixture with Loudoun United FC
LEESBURG, Virginia (Friday, May 17, 2024) – Monterey Bay F.C. (4-3-3, 15 points) travels to Leesburg, Virginia for a 4:00 p.m. PT kickoff on Saturday against Loudoun United FC (2-6-2, 8 points) at Segra Field in Week 11 of the 2024 USL Championship regular season. Live streaming of the match will be available on ESPN+.
Monterey Bay F.C. ended its three match slide in all competitions with a draw at home against Memphis this past weekend, but the Club still finds itself looking for its first win since April 20. Going up against a Loudoun United FC squad that is winless in its previous five league matches (four losses, one draw) after falling to North Carolina FC on Tuesday could be the solution, however, recent injuries to Luther Archiméde and Tristan Trager complicate things up top for the Seasiders.
For Loudoun United FC, the Virginia-based club saw a nice start to the season with its opening draw at San Antonio FC followed by a 3-1 win at home against North Carolina FC. But it’s been rough for the Eastern Conference side ever since, having won just one of its last eight matches in league play.
Heading into the third all-time meeting between these two clubs, Monterey Bay F.C. currently owns a 2-0-0 head-to-head record against Loudoun United FC following wins for the Crisp-and-Kelp in each of the previous two fixtures, including a win in its first and only match to date at Segra Field.
