Orange County SC looks to return to winning ways as they host conference foes Rio Grande Valley FC Toros at Championship Stadium in Irvine, CA, presented by Massage Matters, on Saturday, June 3 at 7:00 PM for our Pride Celebration! Our friends at Men Alive, OC’s Gay Men’s Chorus, will be performing the National Anthem and again at halftime! In addition to Pride, we will be celebrating graduates from all over the county on Saturday as well!
NO PLACE LIKE…THE ROAD?
Rio Grande Valley FC Toros enter Saturday’s match in 10th place in the USL Championship Western Conference, just one point ahead of the home side. Three points in this match will go a long way in the standings both now and later in the season. RGV FC have lost both of their previous matches to Eastern Conference opponents, and come into Saturday’s match also having lost the previous two ties in this matchup, including a 2-1 decision at Championship Stadium last year. Strange but true: the Toros are a winless 0-3-4 at home and 2-1-1 away from H-E-B Park.
2023 Regular Season Record: 2-4-5 (10th in USL-C Western Conference)

TAKING PRIDE IN DEFENSE
Orange County SC returns home to Championship Stadium off the heels of a brilliant defensive performance last time out in Miami. It was the first time since 2021 that the Black and Orange backline did not allow a single shot on goal since October 16, 2021 (1-0 W @ Oakland Roots SC). The OCSC defense has enjoyed a terrific run of form, only allowing one goal in their previous three matches. Saturday also marked the return of forward Thomas Amang and defender Andrew Fox from injury, both of whom made brief appearances in Miami.
