PHOENIX (January 4, 2019) — Phoenix Rising officially announced its preseason schedule in the lead up to the 2019 season presented by Equality Health. The club will again go up against Major League Soccer competition as it prepares for a return trip to the USL Cup Final.
Phoenix Rising will open preseason play in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup against Minnesota United on Saturday, February 2nd at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson.
Rising FC then opens up play at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex against Major League Soccer Western Conference finalist and CONCACAF Champions League participant Sporting Kansas City on Thursday, February 7th at 6 p.m. The night will feature two 75-minute matches between the two clubs.
Rising FC will wrap up the home portion of its preseason schedule when it hosts MLS side Real Salt Lake on Saturday, February 16th at 7 p.m.
The club finishes the 2019 Mobile Mini Sun Cup with a pair of contests in Tucson against MLS Cup finalist Portland Timbers FC and USL Championship side OKC Energy FC.
Tickets for the Mobile Mini Sun Cup games go on sale Wednesday, January 9th at 10 a.m..

Now entering its eighth year, the Mobile Mini Sun Cup is an annual preseason event for Major League Soccer clubs to prepare for their regular season. The event first began in 2012 and took place entirely in Tucson. Since then, the event has grown innumber of teams participating and locations of team training sessions and matches. In 2018, the event was taken over by USL Championship side Phoenix Rising Football Club and first expanded into Phoenix, featuring two MLS preseason matches against Phoenix Rising.
