
(PHOENIX) Aug. 14, 2018 – Phoenix Rising FC announced today that it has acquired defender Tristan Blackmon on loan for the remainder of the 2018 season from Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Football Club. LAFC will retain the right to recall Blackmon at any point.
The defender has made nine appearances, including five starts for LAFC during his first professional season. 22-year-old Blackmon was selected third overall by LAFC in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. A University of Pacific product, Blackmon made 68 starts and tallied 16 goals to go along with nine assists for the Tigers.
Blackmon is expected to train with Phoenix Rising this week and be eligible for selection on Saturday night as the club travels to Las Vegas to take on Las Vegas Lights FC.
