DeMelo: World Cup 'a surreal experience,' ready to finish strong with Racing teammates - Racing Louisville FC

After her first training with Racing since departing for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Savannah DeMelo reflected on her experiences with the U.S. Women’s National Team and looked forward to the upcoming UKG NWSL Challenge Cup semifinals and remaining seven regular-season games with her Louisville teammates.

Racing Louisville FC: established 2021

Upon launching, Racing Louisville made its city home to a major-league sports franchise for the first time in 41 years. The club plays in the NWSL — the world’s top women’s soccer circuit that’s home to most members of the highly successful U.S. national team — and plays at recently opened Lynn Family Stadium.
