RICHMOND, VA – (Wednesday, April 4, 2018) – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce that the iconic Carytown Market is relocating to City Stadium. Richmond’s only Sunday farmers market opens Sunday, April 22nd, 11am-3pm, and will be available every Sunday through October.
“I am excited to collaborate with the Richmond Kickers to create an exciting weekly market that will focus on the talents of top notch farmers and artists from the Richmond area,” commented The Carytown Market Event Organizer, Patrick Warner.
Established in 2012 in Carytown, the Carytown Market is a member of the Capital Area Farmers Market Association. The Carytown Market promotes and supports local farmers and will now expand to include artisans, fine craftsmen, and musicians with an emphasis on providing fun-filled, family-friendly activities and educational attractions. Located just a few blocks from Carytown, City Stadium provides ample free parking as well as additional space to expand the popular market.
“With so much local talent to pull from, The Carytown Market is gearing up to double in size,” added Warner.
In addition to new vendors and activities, the market will continue to showcase mainstays such as Alfredo’s Honey, Do The Jerky, Lesley‘s Garden, Poor Georgie‘s Bakery Shop, and many other familiar favorites.
