PITTSBURGH (March 28, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (0-1-1) will clash with in-state rival Bethlehem Steel FC (1-2-0) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Talen Energy Stadium, marking its first-ever trip to the venue.
This will be their first meeting (excluding preseason play) since Bethlehem defeated the Hounds, 2-2 (8-7 penalties), in last year’s conference quarterfinal postseason match.
Pittsburgh enters the game this weekend fresh off earning its first point of the 2018 campaign – a 2-2 draw at Swope Park Rangers on March 23. On the other hand, Bethlehem goes into Saturday’s match on a two-game losing skid – both losses coming at home.
All-time, the Hounds have a 1-2-2 record against Bethlehem in road matches. Although the last time Pittsburgh visited Steel FC, it came away with a win. In this match last year, a 2-1 victory for the Hounds, Neco Brett posted a brace.
This game is the third of a four-match road string for the Hounds. The Black and Gold do not return to Pittsburgh until its home opener on April 13. Fans can purchase their tickets to the home opener by visiting ticketmaster.com.
