SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 23, 2016) – Sacramento Republic FC have loaned Matt LaGrassa to Tulsa Roughnecks FC. The rookie midfielder has joined Roughnecks FC prior to Tulsa’s match against LA Galaxy II tonight, Friday, June 24.
“Matt is in a developmental stage in his career and he is improving constantly,” said Republic FC Director of Football Graham Smith. “We are hoping to speed up his development by sending him to Tulsa where he can get meaningful minutes. This is a positive step in his maturation as a player.”
LaGrassa has appeared in five matches for Republic FC this season including one start. He has played 181 minutes in all competitions. LaGrassa made his USL debut against LA Galaxy II in a 2-0 win on May 7. LaGrassa entered the match as a sub in stoppage time, recording his only USL minute played this season.
