Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson and Republic FC are encouraging fans to show their passion by wearing Republic FC gear, red or soccer swag all day Thursday.
When you wake up on Thursday, hang your Republic FC flags outside. Then dress yourself, dress your family, your roommate and even your pets in your favorite Republic FC swag to showcase your support. Share pictures of you reppin’ Republic FC on social media by tagging #BuiltForMLS and then be sure to also tweet the commissioner, @TheSoccerDon, and welcome him to Sacramento.
Is a Republic FC kit at work too casual? Throw on a blazer. You also show your support by donning club colors, such as (Old Glory) red or by wearing a scarf, lapel pin or any other item repping our Indomitable City. You can also hang a Republic FC Block Party poster at work to remind your co-workers to join us!
Need more SRFC swag for the big day? Republic FC Headquarters and Team Store is open Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Team Store is located at 2421 17th Street.
Be sure to also grab your scarves to take a long lunch and join us at our MLS Block Party on Thursday. L Street will be closed between 15th and 16th streets for a special bash to welcome MLS to our Indomitable City. Festivities start at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.
