
Toyota Field will host Liga MX sides Tigres UANL and Club Atletico de San Luis on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in an exhibition match, presented by SPD Sports.
Tickets for the match will go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. today and can be purchased online by visiting Ticketmaster.com, with prices starting at $26. Tickets will also be available for purchase beginning today at the AT&T Center box office, as well as at the Toyota Field box office on match day.
Tigres UANL is one of the most decorated clubs in Liga MX history, winning the Liga MX title on seven occasions, most recently winning the Clausura 2019 season as well as the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League. Tigres has also won the three Copa MX and three Campeon de Campeones titles.
Atletico de San Luis will visit Toyota Field for the first time after attaining promotion to the Mexican first division after winning the Ascenso 2019 title with a victory over rivals Dorados de Sinaloa on May 5, 2019. Founded in 2013 following the relocation of San Luis Potosi’s original professional club, San Luis F.C., Atletico de San Luis is currently in 10th place in the Liga MX standings in its first season in the Mexican top flight.
An 8,000-seat stadium, Toyota Field opened in 2013 and has been the home of the USL Championship club San Antonio FC since the spring of 2016. The facility was acquired in 2015 by the City of San Antonio and Bexar County, in partnership with Spurs Sports & Entertainment who now control all operations of the facility along with the neighboring STAR Soccer Complex.
