Taintor Assisted on Game-Winning Goal, Farr Made Six Saves in Shutout
SAN ANTONIO (April 12, 2022) – San Antonio FC defender Mitchell Taintor and goalkeeper Jordan Farr have both been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after strong performances in Saturday’s 1-0 road win over Orange County.
Taintor notched his first assist of the season, crossing a ball to Elliot Collier for the winning goal to go along with three chances created. Defensively, Taintor made 15 clearances as well. The Team of the Week nod is the second of the season for Taintor, after earning the honors in week two.
Farr makes it on the Team of the Week for the first time this season, behind his first clean sheet of the season. In the shutout, Farr made six saves to bring his season total to 13 in just two starts. The total is good for fifth in the league, and second in the Western Conference.
San Antonio FC has now had a player on the Team of the Week three times in 2022.
