Grace Phillpotts, the 22-year-old defender from Fenton, Michigan, started stacking up the awards in her early years of high school. She lettered in both soccer and track and field while she was competing for the Michigan Hawks under coach Doug Landefeld.

Phillpotts started her collegiate career at DePaul University where she had 36 starts in 40 games with 9 assists recorded in her three seasons. After playing for 3,355 minutes for DePaul, she landed at the University of Kentucky where she topped that time with 3,390 minutes during two seasons. Phillpotts totaled 40 starts in 40 games at Kentucky with 1 goal and 8 assists. Added this skilled defender to the roster gives Sporting JAX some security in front of the net.
