Before her collegiate dominance, Meg Hughes was setting records as a high school phenomenon. At Old Rochester regional Highschool, Hughes tallied 192 points on 127 goals and 65 assists, and holds the record for most goals and points by a player. She earned three SCC Champion titles, and was named Standard Times Player of the Year in 2018.
All of her high school success allowed her to flow seamlessly into her collegiate career, where in her freshman year at Providence College, she led her team in points, assists, and was tied for first in goals. Her Providence career resulted in 27 goals with 20 assists, and over 5,200 minutes played. Her time at Michigan State as a graduate student has produced a naming to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Second Team, a Second Team All-Big Ten selection, seven goals, three assists, and over 1,000 minutes recorded.
