OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball is thrilled to welcome athletes, coaches, umpires and fans to Oklahoma City for the 2023 GOLD National Championships taking place at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. Marking the event’s 30th year of competition – including its 10th year of 16-Under action – 37 teams from over 15 states will meet from July 17-23 after clinching a spot in the tournament through a network of regional qualifying competitions and allocated berths in pursuit of a GOLD National Championship title.

Prior to competition, participating teams will take part in a team check-in experience on Sunday, July 16 at Chicken N Pickle OKC – a local food and entertainment facility and sponsor for this year’s GOLD National Championships – where athletes and coaches are invited for an afternoon of food, games and fun with pickle ball matchups, cornhole tournaments, vendors, goodie bags, raffle prizes, a photobooth and more.
This marquee event for USA Softball Junior Olympic Championship play is slated to open pool-play on Monday, July 17 before entering double-elimination bracket play starting at 3 p.m. CT on Wednesday, July 19. Double-elimination play will continue into Saturday, July 22 – with the onset of Championship play kicking off at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field opening Saturday evening. The 2023 GOLD National Championships host site – the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex – has been established as one of the premier softball destinations in the world. The four-field facility recently underwent renovations, bringing the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field to a capacity of nearly 9,000. Also known as the Softball Capital of the World®, the facility has played host to many distinguished events such as the NCAA Division I Women’s College World Series (WCWS), USA Softball International Cup and Border Battle, among others.
As a pillar of grassroots competition, the GOLD National Championships carries an illustrious 30-year track record featuring elite talent from across the country. Opening in its inaugural 1994 season with 18-Under competition, the 2023 GOLD National Championships will crown its 30th 18U National Champion, while the 16U division will crown its 10th National Champion after the division’s launch in 2014.
