OKLAHOMA CITY — USA Softball announced today the Coaching Staff selected to guide the U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) at the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women’s World Cup Finals this summer in Castions di Strada, Italy. Chosen by the Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC), Heather Tarr (Washington – Head Coach) will once again lead the WNT as head coach, joined by assistant coaches, Kyla Holas (JWNT – Head Coach), Jimmy Kolatis (Arizona State – Assistant Coach) and Tim Walton (Florida – Head Coach).
“The USA Softball Coaching Staff for 2024 is well-experienced to lead our team to victory at the WBSC World Cup Finals in Italy,” said Tarr. “With Jimmy Kolaitis, Kyla Holas, and Tim Walton, this dynamic trio brings expertise, synergy, and passion. Our collaboration promises an exciting journey as we strive for gold!”

Marking her third season as head coach of the U.S. WNT, Heather Tarr boasts an exemplary record with Team USA, most recently guiding the Eagles to a first-place finish at the 2023 WBSC World Cup Group Stage event and an undefeated run to stand atop the podium at the 2023 Pan American Games last year. Among her international accomplishments as head coach, Tarr led the U.S. WNT to a monumental gold medal finish at the 2022 World Games alongside returning assistant Tim Walton, who also helped guide the Eagles during the 2023 season. Adding to the squad’s resume, assistant coach Kyla Holas previously led the U-15 WNT to three gold medal finishes during the 2023 season, while Jimmy Kolatis coached alongside Holas at the 2023 U-15 World Cup where the pair clinched the inaugural U-15 World Champion title.
The WBSC Women’s World Cup Finals are slated for July 15-21, 2024, in Castions di Strada, Italy. The U.S. will compete alongside top opponents from across the world in hopes of claiming its 13th World Champion title. For more information on the WBSC Women’s World Cup Finals, click here.
