Alabama’s professional soccer club offering Buy One/Give One ticket promotion benefitting Birmingham City Schools and Boys and Girls Clubs
BIRMINGHAM, AL (March 7, 2022) – Birmingham Legion FC’s 2022 season will kick-off at Protective Stadium this Sunday, March 13, at 4:00pm vs. the Tampa Bay Rowdies. To honor the start of the club’s fourth season, team owners, coaches and players – alongside Mayor Randall Woodfin and others – have issued a #PackProtective challenge to the City of Birmingham and surrounding areas.
As part of this challenge, Legion FC is offering a Buy One/Give One promotion in which each single game ticket purchased will provide one free ticket to a child in the Birmingham City School system or in local Boys and Girls Club programs.
“This March 13 game is our first true competitive league match played in our new home, Protective Stadium,” said Legion FC President and General Manager, Jay Heaps. “So, we want Birmingham to show up and show out to support Legion FC while also providing local kids the chance to experience the magic of soccer right here in the Magic City.”
As part of the season home opener in Uptown, fans will enjoy a state-of-the-art stadium experience and halftime performance featuring Alabama native and rapper, Mooski, as well as a special Celebrity Shootout – with participants to be announced via Birmingham Legion FC social channels later this week.
Tickets start at just $7 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster or by contacting the Legion FC Ticket Office.
