
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham Legion FC announced on Friday that Mujeeb Murana and the club have agreed to mutually terminate the player’s contract.
The Nigerian defender, who signed with the club this past offseason, appeared in 12 matches across all competitions in 2024 with four starts. Murana scored his first goal with Legion FC on April 7 with a 90th minute strike in a 3-1 win over Loudoun United FC. He later assisted Enzo Martinez for Birmingham’s first goal in a 6-4 extra time defeat to the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the Round of 32 of the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 8.
