
CHARLESTON, SC – Andrew Carleton was called into national camp following Saturday night’s win over Richmond. Carleton joined the U17 National Team for training camp in Florida on Sunday and will be unavailable this weekend’s regular season finale against New York Red Bulls II.
Following training camp, Carleton and the U17 Men’s National Team will play friendlies in Panama. The forward will return to Charleston on Wednesday, September 28th and will be available for the Battery’s playoff game the weekend of October 1st.
Carleton has played in three USL games and Charleston’s friendly with Rangers FC this year. The 16-year old has been influential in his three appearances, earning his first professional start in the Battery’s 2-1 win over Bethlehem on 9/10 and assisting Maikel Chang’s game-winning goal in Richmond on Saturday.
