Family-friendly themes for all 15 home games, plus Free Gift Friday promotions
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 12, 2024) – The Charlotte Independence announced today the club’s theme nights schedule for the 2024 season. The line up introduces new themes for all 15 home games and incorporates a new Free Gift Friday promotion.
“Our mission is to make Charlotte a better place to live through sports, and providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment for our fans is an important piece,” explained Charlotte Independence President and COO, Tim Schuldt. “From celebrating our 10th Anniversary to honoring our nation’s military and some new, fun themes for our Lil’ Jacks, we’ve planned something new and exciting happening every week at American Legion Memorial Stadium.”
The 2024 season begins with the Home Opener on Saturday, March 16 as the Charlotte Independence host a 10th Anniversary Kickoff. The club will celebrate a decade of professional soccer with recognition of iconic players across the club’s history and collectible giveaways for fans.
Also in March, the club will host a Thirsty Thursday on March 28 with beverage specials for fans 21+.
The first-ever Pups at the Pitch Night presented by Social Pet Hotel and Daycare will be on Friday, April 12. The club will drop a customized ticket package which includes a co-branded dog bandana for all the furry friends who attend.
New this year is Star Wars Day on Friday, May 10. Come dressed in your favorite Star Wars outfit and enjoy tributes to the epic space franchise throughout the night.
May 17 is Military Appreciation Night and Meck Dec Day presented by Accuvision Lasik. Bring your patriotic spirit as the club honors local military personnel and commemorates the city’s Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, the origin story behind the team’s name.
June features three new themes: Beach Party Night, Charlotte Sports Night, and Pickleball Night. Celebrate the start of summer with Beach Party Night on Saturday, June 1. On Friday, June 14 the Independence will invite all of the local sport teams to take part in Charlotte Sports Night. Another new activation this year is Pickleball Night on Saturday, June 29 featuring a ticket package including Charlotte Independence branded pickleball paddles.
Novant Health will present the club’s annual Christmas in July Childhood Cancer Awareness Night on July 20. Fans are encouraged to donate toys for the patients Novant Health Hemby Children’s hospital.
August presents three home games which will be Soccer is for Everyone Night on Saturday, August 3, Beat Greenville Night Rivalry Night on Saturday, August 10, and Back to School Night on Saturday, August 24.
For the single home game in September, the Independence will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
As the season nears a close, the Independence will hold Fan Appreciation Night and a 10th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, October 4. The final home match of the season is Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Novant Health on October 12.
