Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (2-3-2) is set to face FC Tucson (2-3-1) on the road for the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. The match kicks off tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET from Kino Sports Complex.
The Red Wolves are coming off of a Week 7 draw with Forward Madison FC.
Conor Doyle got the scoring started with the quickest goal in Red Wolves history just 90 seconds into the match to give the team a 1-0 lead that would hold throughout the first half.
Forward Madison had the benefit of a few unlucky bounces as they evened the match in the 53rd minute off of a Red Wolves’ own goal. The Mingoes took a 2-1 lead off a Josiel Nunez shot just over a minute later.
Chattanooga Red Wolves SC continued to show fight and evened things at two with an Eamon Zayed header in the 56th minute.
Neither team could convert last-minute second half chances, resulting in both teams’ second ties of the season.
The Red Wolves remain unbeaten at home but are still searching for the team’s first 3 points on the road.
Following tonight’s match, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC will return home for a week of training ahead of hosting Greenville Triumph SC on Saturday, May 25. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET from David Stanton Field.
