Today, Chattanooga Red Wolves SC announced Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics as the club’s primary sports medical group. The League One Team will utilize Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics for all orthopaedic and athletic healthcare and sports performance training for the inaugural season.
According to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC President and General Manager Sean McDaniel, partnering with Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics provides the Red Wolves players with high quality, professional sports medical care.
“Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics gives us the standard of medical sports care required to properly care for our professional athletes,” said McDaniel. “Keeping athletes healthy and strong off the field is vital to keeping them on the field, and Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics provides our players with everything they need and more. We are excited to be working with them for this crucial inaugural season.”
The Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics began as a medical practice in 1979 and has evolved over time to meet the changing needs of the Greater Chattanooga-area. The practice’s 22 physicians are board certified and able to serve patients through several orthopaedic specialties. Over the years, additional locations and specialties have been added to meet the needs of patients. The practice now has multiple office locations in Chattanooga as well as in Hixson, Cleveland, Sequatchie Valley and Athens.
As a part of the partnership, Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is providing the Red Wolves exercise science services including injury care and prevention, rehabilitation, athletic training and sports performance training. Additionally, a certified athletic trainer will be present at all Red Wolves training sessions and matches—both home and away.
“We are really excited to be working with Chattanooga’s newest professional sports team,” said Connie Roberts, Director of Clinical Services. “Chattanooga Red Wolves SC values the health of its athletes, and we are looking forward to delivering the best possible care to help them find success in their inaugural season.”
