CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (October 18th, 2020) – The Chattanooga Red Wolves have picked up center back Jason Ramos’ option for the 2021 season. Ramos is an integral part of building the 2021 roster and his defensive prowess combined with his distribution skills makes it an easy decision to bring him back. Ramos later earned an appearance on SportsCenter’s Top 10 with a wonder goal in Gillette Stadium. It has since been dubbed the “Ramos Rocket” as it was taken approximately forty yards away from goal. The future is bright for this young man, and he set the bar high after a phenomenal first season.
Jason Ramos will be entering the second year with the club, and will become a dominant figure in the league. What is often overlooked is that Ramos was a first year signing, and just completed his rookie season. His maturity on the field is far beyond his years, and General Manager and President Sean McDaniel had to say this, “We really couldn’t have asked for a better first year signing than Jason. His rookie campaign was strong and we are looking forward to watching him become one of our leaders in 2021.” With over a 70% success rate in tackles and 522 completed passes Ramos became a rock in which the team could have trust in the defensive third. Ramos will look to build off of this year’s success and gain additional momentum for 2021.

Jason Ramos is the first roster announcement for the upcoming 2021 season, and sets the tone for what the club wants to accomplish in the next campaign. Head Coach and Technical Director Jimmy Obleda is looking to create a team that has an unquenchable desire to succeed and to work hard so that they can earn that result. Ramos kicks off what will be the start to a great offseason for the Red Wolves and is the summation of what Coach Obleda is looking for while building out the roster for next year.
