CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Jan 13th, 2020) Chattanooga Red Wolves SC have signed former Reno 1868 FC and Xolos de Tijuana goalkeeper Sebastian Mora-Mora to its 2021 roster, pending league and federation approval.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper joins Chattanooga with a wealth of experience. Mora-Mora spent his youth career playing for Real Salt Lake MLS Academy before signing professionally to his hometown club Xolos de Tijuana of Liga MX at age 19. He then went on to play for the Argentinean side Talleres de Remedios de Escalada. Most recently, Mora-Mora played for USL Championship’s 2020 regular season champion Reno 1868.
Head Coach Jimmy Obleda sees Mora-Mora as a great fit for the 2021 team. “Sebastian is a great addition to the team,” says Head Coach Jimmy Obleda. “Not only does he have a wealth of experience for such a young age, he fits the profile of GK that we are looking for. He is very good in goal but has the skill of a field player when he is asked to play out. I’m very happy to have him here with us.”

Mora-Mora is excited to get started with his new club. “The Red Wolves are a high quality club with strong leadership, a winning mentality and a very capable coaching staff,” says Mora-Mora. “I believe this is the perfect team to help me do my very best work. To the fans, I’m excited to meet each of you and represent this city. I will give the very best that I have on the field.”
Mora-Mora is the 12th player signed by the Red Wolves for the 2021 season joining newcomers Josue Espana, Jose Carrera Garcia, Jimmie Villalobos, Jackson Dieterich and returners Ualefi Dos Reis, Ami Pineda, Ronaldo Pineda, Marky Hernandez, Ricky Ruiz, Jonathan Ricketts, Jason Ramos and Tim Trilk. More player announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
