CHATTANOOGA, TN. (Mar. 22, 2021) – The Chattanooga Red Wolves and USL League One announced today its full schedule for the 2021 season, which will see each of the league’s 12 teams play 28 games for a place in the 2021 League One Playoffs in November.
USL League One will feature a rolling start with some clubs kicking off on April 10th, making the league the First Men’s Professional soccer league in the United States to begin season play in 2021.
Chattanooga will kick off the 2021 season on the road against 2019 Champions North Texas SC on May 8th. The Red Wolves will then take the field at CHI Memorial Stadium for their 2021 home opener on Saturday May 22nd at 7pm against Fort Lauderdale CF.
“Now that the season’s here, we’re ready to get going. Knowing who we’re facing when we’re facing them allows us to start building momentum to get into the playoffs and into the final,” says Head Coach Jimmy Obleda. “Our players are hungry and motivated, they’re ready to represent the city and the club. When they have that mentality it’s just a matter of time before they all play to their full potential.”
The Red Wolves are eager to get back out on CHI Memorial Stadium which will feature multiple new elements in the 2021 season including the city’s largest jumbotron, digital field runners, Floodlights, as well as the Executive Club and Sky Suites building.
“May 22nd we’ll be playing at CHI Memorial Stadium in front of our fans,” says Red Wolves GM & President Sean McDaniel. “Playing an MLS affiliate like Ft Lauderdale CF is an incredible way to launch our home campaign. We’re very excited to get fans into the grandstands at CHI Memorial Stadium and show off all of the new elements that the stadium has to offer.”

The 28-game season will feature Chattanooga playing each League One club home and away, along with 4 matches against each 2020 Champions Greenville Triumph, 2019 Champions North Texas SC and North Carolina SC. After the regular season has concluded, the top six teams in the regular season will advance to the 2021 League One Playoffs.
