Detroit City FC’s Troy Watson (Saginaw Valley State) and Brett Nason (University of Michigan) have been selected to participate in the inaugural Midwest Pro Soccer Combine.
The Midwest Pro Soccer Combine, which will feature scouts from around the country, will take place at Ultimate Soccer Arenas on December 19-20.
A total of 60 players were selected to participate, including players from NPSL and PDL teams nationwide.
The combine will feature matches between four teams, which are free and open to the public. All other combine events are closed to the public.
On December 19, Team 1 will take on Team 2 at 2 PM, and Team 3 and Team 4 will kickoff at 4 PM. On December 20, Team 1 faces Team 3 at 8:30 AM and Team 2 plays Team 4 at 10 AM.
The preliminary match kicks off at 1:30 PM and the all-star match kicks off at 3 PM on December 20.

Nason appeared in 15 matches for Michigan as a senior last season and recorded one assist. In his first year with DCFC in 2016, Nason played in three matches for City and recorded 205 minutes. He scored the winning penalty kick in the first round of the 2016 U.S. Open Cup to help Le Rouge advance past Michigan Bucks.
In his senior season with SVSU, Watson made 20 starts for the Cardinals, while tallying three goals and three assists. With DCFC in 2016, Watson featured in all 12 matches for Le Rouge for a total of 698 minutes played.
