Detroit City FC is excited to announce Taylor Soccer Club as its first affiliated youth club. Under the arrangement with Taylor Soccer Club, Detroit City FC will be partnering with a similarly minded club committed to growing soccer through a community-based approach.
Through this effort, Detroit City FC will leverage its coaching staff and players to provide more opportunities for youth in the region while delivering greater technical supervision through clinics and direct coaching and maintaining an affordable price for families. Taylor Soccer Club families will also enjoy discounts on DCFC merchandise and tickets, as well as exclusive youth opportunities at Detroit City FC matches.
Taylor Soccer Club is under the supervision of Club Director and DCFC alum Jon Evans, who played for Le Rouge from 2012-2015 after a distinguished career at Oakland University.
“We appreciate the role Taylor Soccer Club plays in its community as an accessible entry point to soccer, but also as a place for kids to learn the finer points of the game and eventually play on a competitive basis,” said DCFC co-owner Todd Kropp. “We look forward to leveraging our players and coaching staff to support Taylor SC in developing its players, and hopefully in the process foster DCFC fans for life.”

For the upcoming 2018-2019 youth season, Taylor Soccer Club will keep its name, but wear the maroon and gold of Detroit City FC. During the winter months TSC will be utilizing the Detroit City Fieldhouse, DCFC’s new indoor athletic facility set to open this fall, for leagues and practices.
