Tulsa Roughnecks Sign Sean Lewis
Tulsa, OK– Tulsa Roughnecks FC has signed 26-year-old Goalkeeper Sean Lewis.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Roughneck family,” said Lewis, “I know that we can accomplish great things together and I cannot wait to get started.”
Lewis, originally from Rockford, Michigan, played college soccer for the Western Michigan Broncos and the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. After college he played for the Panama City Beach Pirates, and in 2015 he signed with the Olympia Warriors of the National Premier League in Australia where he helped lead the team to the Tasmanian Victory League Championship. He then moved on to play for Jacksonville Armada and Penn FC of the USL.
“Sean is a well-rounded goal keeper that is ready to prove himself as one of the top players in the USL,” said Head Coach Michael Nsien, “He is a great shot stopper, but he also has great technical ability and will allow us to build out of the back comfortably. Sean’s long range of passing will also make us a vertical threat with the weapons we will have in the attack. We expect him to have a commanding presence and be a key figure to our back line. We want to have a reputation of being very difficult team to break down, he will be an integral part of that reputation.”
