TULSA – Four FC Tulsa players took in the University of Tulsa basketball’s 80-40 demolition of No. 22 Memphis last night. Sitting courtside at the Reynolds Center were Callum Champman-Page, Dario Suárez, Maxi Schenfeld, and Andrew MacRae. The atmosphere was raucous as the Golden Hurricane steamrolled the Tigers and the members of the FC Tulsa gold and white were there to take it all in.
“I haven’t been to many basketball games, so we went, and we sat at the front,” said defender Callum Chapman-Page. “It was a great atmosphere, and Tulsa [Men's Basketball] is really good. I mean, Tulsa made them look like kids.”
None of the four in attendance for FC Tulsa are from the U.S., so seeing a college basketball game, especially one that featured two nationally-competitive teams, was a rare experience.
“The atmosphere was really great.” added goalkeeper Andrew MacRae. “We went in hearing all about Memphis being a Top 25 team, and then Tulsa absolutely smashed them. It was a good night.”
Also at the match were eight lucky FC Tulsa Fan Club members who won the ticket giveaway, sitting just a few rows up from the court.

The rowdy crowd and exciting environment is something that FC Tulsa plans to recreate at ONEOK field when the club kicks off the 2020 home season on March 14 against New Mexico United.
“Hopefully we can get out into that environment and meet people and get them to come to our games," said MacRae. “If we can get that kind of environment at ONEOK. It’ll be a hard place to play for other teams.”
